Just in the past couple of months, some amazing things have happened: a family in North Carolina got together after 24 years of not talking to each other! That occurred after a show on “Little League Horror Stories.” A homeless man in Arizona got the courage and spirit to put his life together because of the positive stories about sports and life he heard on the show over the past six months. An Illinois man’s daughter was able to go to a clinic to help get her off of Zoloft and Ritalin. She was 11 years old. This happened due to a show on Ron Artest and drug use in sports. Not many positive things have happened from Ron Artest!. And a man named Trent called the show just to tell David something good in his life. He said he was living the dream and going to as many ballparks this summer as possible. David asked how he had that kind of time. Trent then told the story of getting hit by an RPG in Iraq last year, and after 15 surgeries, he is now okay and living the dream. Trent is coming to LA to see a Dodgers game through the generosity of SNR and the listeners. He told David that this was the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for him. David responded, “no, Trent, you going to Iraq and getting blown up so we can live free is the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for us.”
